We’re committed to sustainable tourism here at Naturesbase and we want to make it as easy as possible to be environmentally responsible while you stay with us.

  • Toilets: Two of our five loos are compost loos. These are very beautiful, avoid polluting gallons of fresh water and produce fantastic compost for our trees.
  • Energy: All our logs for campfires are locally grown and sustainable. We have a 4Kw photo voltaic system, generating renewable energy and harnessing our untapped energy.
  • Biodiversity: We have planted around 1500 broadleaved native tress to increase wildlife and biodiversity, as well as capturing CO2.
  • Building: Our new strawbail treatment room uses locally sourced straw and requires no heating as it is three times more efficient than conventional building.
  • Be car free: We can pick you up from the local bus stop or give you taxi numbers from Aberystwyth train station.
  • Recycling: We have a range of bins for recycling all glass, paper, card and metal & compost bins for food waste.
  • Eco friendly products: In our kitchen and bathrooms, we use eco friendly cleaning prodcuts.

We source local and fair trade products where we can in our cooking and we try and source as locally as possible . Our local shop and garage is about  1 ½  miles away and  our local organic vegetable shop, Blaencamel (http://www.blaencamel.com/) is a short and beautiful walk down the valley.

"Beautiful Campsite, thoughtful touches, friendly folk, loved the animals, barn, large pitches, cakes, firepits, relaxed atmosphere, showers, loos, books , toys – all the work that has been put into Tyngwndwn shines all over the place. And it didn’t rain! "
